JAMES GARNETT
Hi!
I'm James, an adventurer, musician, charity fundraiser and extreme sports enthusiast. As an adventurer, I was the first
kidney transplant patient to circumnavigate Sri Lanka, race the length of India and ski across Svalbard.
In May 2024, in memory of my mum Elaine who battled kidney failure most of her life, I became the first-ever organ transplant patient to traverse Greenland under human power alone.
As a professional drummer, I have toured the world, performing for over 15 years alongside artists such as Eurythmics, Paloma Faith, New Order, Leona Lewis, and Revere.
Whether racing across simmering deserts or skiing across frozen landscapes, I am dedicated to raising money for NHS charities, raising awareness about organ donation shortages, transplantation and pushing the boundaries and perceptions of what organ transplant patients can
achieve.
I also have a love of pretty much any extreme sport including big air kitesurfing and backcountry snowboarding and I can often be seen crashing spectacularly whilst attempting a new trick!
